Here you can find information on Mike Kemnitzer and the fine mandolin family instruments that he has been meticulously crafting since the early 1970s.  I have been the only organically certified Nugget representative for over thirty years. Here you can learn more about Mike’s approach to building and see a nice archive of the instruments that have passed through our hands down through the years. Many consider Kemnitzer’s instruments to be the absolute finest made anywhere. The artistry and craftsmanship have no peer, and Mike’s knowledge of tone production is legendary among makers.

    Nugget Deluxe F #43 is in my possession and for sale. It’s a sweet sounding instrument with very little playing time on the top, which was replaced because of an accident in the early 90s. Check the Archives below.

    The first four mandolins are shipping to their lucky owners this month. They feature top grade tone woods, sunburst varnish finish, arched fingerboard, cantilevered finger rest, new Nugget designed tailpiece, snake head peghead with Nuggy notch, pearl  Nugget  logo, and come in a Superior hardshell case for $7500.

    Many have asked if custom features are available. The answer is—not on the A Junior. Custom features may be ordered on Standard or Deluxe A Models.   Here are some pics to whet your appetite.
